Communication

Department of Communication & Media of the ZPDB

Effective and well-planned communication is required for the successful achievement of the Zanzibar Presidential Delivery Bureau’s (ZPDB) desired results to be achieved. This Communication Plan contributes to the project’s overall goals as well as the ZPDB’s internal and external communication requirements. Effective and strategic communication can assist delivery. Convincing people of the need for reform and creating coalitions of supporters to make change happen are all ways in which strategic communications can support day-to-day delivery.

To best achieve the ZPDB’s goals, both external and internal communication is necessary to build a sharing environment where knowledge dissemination is frequent and timely. This will be incorporated into the PDB’s brand image and consistently portrayed across all aspects of the project. The ZPDB brand has at its essence a positive, innovative, inspiring and results oriented style.

To support and demonstrate this innovative and visionary image, media houses, communication tools and mediums such as social networks, viral email campaigns, events and off-line activities etc. are employed.

The Communication strategy of the ZPDB outlines the communication plan and activities and timelines needed to achieve the ZPDB’s communication objectives.
